This threaded adapter insert allows you to attach a caster or foot/glide to the bottom of square tubing, commonly used in tables & shelving. It fits flush when installed & is designed for 1" square tubing, measured across the outside from one side to the other.

Thread: 3/8-16	Square or Round Tubing: Designed for square tubing, can accommodate round tubing, but ends will stick out.

Work really well

These adapters work really well for a book cart with square tubing legs. I have no idea what happened to the original adapters, but when I got the cart, it just had hollow square legs. I pounded these adapters in and they work perfectly (don't try to get them out). I have casters with 3/8" stems and they screw in nicely, with no worrying about the adapters turning or coming out.
