This socket is designed to be used with 5/16" grip neck (wood neck stems) and is ideal for wooden furniture, chair legs, carts, and other wood based applications

To install, drill a 3/8" pilot hole. Next secure the socket into place using #10 or #12 wood screws in the the two holes (Screws are not included).

Once the socket is installed, the caster stem can be pressed into place. The socket’s narrow expandable tail end functions like a spring clip, creating a tight grip around the casters stem to prevent loosening or being pulled out during use. Because of this design, some force is required during installation.
