Retort Wheels are hard plastic and most often used in food facilities, such as meat packing plants, because their white color easily shows whether the wheel is clean or not. The wheels is made out of heavy duty plastic and are designed to not crack or chip.

These wheels are lightweight yet hold high weight capacities and are also non-marking. They also are washable, steam cleanable, impervious to water, and highly resistant to solvents, oils, grease, most chemicals, and cleaning solutions. These wheels are similar to polyolefin and nylon wheels but offer a higher temperature rating.

* This brake kit has a maximum temperature rating of 180°F due to its plastic pedal construction.

* This face contact brake is not compatible with all casters. However, we've found this particular caster to be one of the few that pairs effectively with it. These brakes are not intended for use on slopes or inclined surfaces. Excessive force or pushing against the wheel may reduce braking effectiveness or cause slippage.
