5/16" ID x 3/8" OD x 7/8" Delrin Spanner - Part # 4160235

Our delrin spanners are an economical alternative to stainless steel that is designed to be in in wet & humid environments. Unlike carbon steel bushings, which can quickly rust, these delrin bushings offer long-lasting performance & superior resistance to corrosion

Commonly used with 2" wide wheels that have a plain bore or a short roller bearing kit meaning the wheel has internal thrust washers & a 1-11/16" hub length.

When using a spanner inside a wheel, the bracket, washer or nut should tighten against the spanner, not the wheel, allowing the wheel to spin freely. The spanner should also be slightly wider than the wheel's hub."

Inside Diameter (ID): 5/16"
Outside Diameter (OD): 3/8"
Fits Axle Size: 3/8"  Spanner Length: 7/8"
Enables Grease Flow: Yes
Material: Delrin

Came up short

They sold this 7/8" long spanner (bushing) with a wheel having a 1-9/16" hub width, so the spanner only filled 56% of the width of the hub and slides from left to right within the wheel. I hope operation of the wheel doesn't tear up the spanner.

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your concern.

You’re right that the spanner is shorter than the full hub width—it's 7/8' long compared to the 1-9/16' hub. While that may seem like a mismatch, the spanner is actually designed to center the axle bolt within the wheel and provide a stable bearing surface. Even though it doesn’t span the full width, it functions as intended and shouldn’t cause issues in normal operation.

That said, we always appreciate feedback like this—it helps us make sure customers are confident in what they’re receiving. If you run into any issues at all, we’re here to help.

Thanks again for your order!
