6" x 2" Balloon Cushion Wheel Swivel Caster with Face Contact Brake - Part # 146RND620SFCB

Balloon Cushioned wheels have a rounded rubber tread molded to an aluminum core. The rounded tread minimizes friction and enables the wheel to turn easily. This wheel offers the best shock absorbing, cushioned ride available of rubber wheels. It rolls easily over debris and small obstructions, such as electrical cords. This caster wheel also has superior floor protection, ultra-quiet rolling, and is non marking. The down side is this wheel has lower capacities than other rubber wheels. For higher capacity wheels with similar characteristic, check out our thermoplastic rubber wheels.

We would not recommend these wheels for applications that require sitting in one spot for long periods of time under heavy loads.

* This brake kit has a maximum temperature rating of 180°F due to its plastic pedal construction.

* This face contact brake is not compatible with all casters. However, we've found this particular caster to be one of the few that pairs effectively with it. These brakes are not intended for use on slopes or inclined surfaces. Excessive force or pushing against the wheel may reduce braking effectiveness or cause slippage.
