Polyurethane on aluminum caster wheels offer similar load capacities to polyurethane on iron while utilizing a lighter-weight, corrosion-resistant aluminum core. The polyurethane tread is chemically & mechanically bonded to the core for significantly stronger adhesion than standard mechanically bonded wheels, helping minimize de-treading while improving resistance to water exposure. The firm Shore A 95 durometer minimizes tread deformation under load, reducing rolling resistance & improving push efficiency. This wheel is also non-marking & floor protective, making it safe for surfaces like hardwood, tile & concrete. Great alternative to steel, nylon & phenolic wheels.

Poly on aluminum wheels are available in a variety of colors, tread profiles & durometers to suit different applications. While color does not affect performance, tread shape & durometer play a major role in how the wheel performs. Crowned treads reduce floor contact, minimizing friction for easier turning & lower rolling effort compared to flat tread designs. These brakes are not intended for use on slopes or inclined surfaces. Excessive force or pushing against the wheel may reduce braking effectiveness or cause slippage.
