4" x 2" Red Polyurethane on Iron Wheel Rigid Caster - Part #: 146PURB420R

Polyurethane on iron caster wheels provide better floor protection, non-marking treads, quieter rolling, and smoother rides compared to steel or phenolic wheels, while maintaining similar load capacities. These wheels are more durable and heavy-duty than polyurethane on polyolefin wheels but are heavier and slightly harder to roll than polyurethane on aluminum core wheels.

Poly on iron wheels are ideal for heavy-duty use when you want a durable polyurethane option without the cost of premium poly on aluminum casters. They are suitable for most applications, but not recommended for hot/cold temperatures or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

Poly on Iron wheels come in variety of colors, tread thicknesses & durometers to meet your application needs. While the color doesn’t affect performance, the tread thickness & durometer typically do. Typically, the thicker the tread is, the more capacity the wheel can handle. The durometer or how hard something is also determines the amount of cushion a wheel can give you on a caster.

good selection of products. good quality casters. grease zerk on wheel hard to get to. other wise good product.

Hi Eric,

Glad to hear you're happy with the casters and that they're working well! We understand that the grease zerk on the wheel can be a bit harder to reach on this size. That’s why we also include a grease zerk on the axle—it’s easier to access and keeps maintenance simple!
