Forged steel wheel casters represent the premium tier of all steel caster wheels. Made from a one-piece ASTM 1045 high carbon steel that is hot drop forged, these wheels deliver the highest weight capacities, impact strength & overall durability available in a caster wheel. This caster is capable of incredibly high temperatures that no other wheel is capable of. Their hard rolling surface performs best on smooth floors where maximum strength & minimal rolling resistance are required.
While forged steel is incredibly resilient, it is the harshest wheel type for floors & could lead to floor damage. For heavy duty floor protective wheels, be sure to check out our polyurethane casters. For more economical solutions check out our other steel casters.
* Please note temperature ratings are dependent upon the bearing selected. Unless noted otherwise in the options, bearings will have a 180°F temperature rating.
* Our kingpinless swivel caster rigs outlast traditional kingpin designs by preventing stretch-induced plate & fork separation. Providing more durability & more capacity (depending on the wheel) while reducing downtime & replacements.
