Heavy duty plastic, or polyolefin, casters are the among the most popular casters we offer.

They are durable and economically priced by nature. Plastic is literally everywhere, from the mouse you use to surf the web to the phone in your hand. Its abundances and utilitarian uses extends to industry standard casters.

Polyolefin caster wheels are some of the most durable wheels we offer. They're resistant to chemicals, oils, grease, some acids & steam. They're also abrasion resistant while yielding a high shock load. These wheels can also be used to bear constant weights over extended periods of time & will not flat spot like some other wheels.

Although heavy duty plastic casters have a lot benefits, its important to know that these wheel are non-marking but not floor protective. This wheel isn't recommended for floors that need protecting like hardwood or tile. This wheel really shines when it is being used on smooth concrete floors. It's because of these features that many industries choose polyolefin for keeping their business rolling.

When it comes to plastic casters and capacity, you tend to get comparable capacities to some of our more premium casters we offer while not breaking the bank. For example, our 4" polyolefin casters with a 1-1/4" wide wheel (part #Q504001HDP) offers 350 lbs. of capacity which is as the top of capacity for that series of casters. This caster can be less than half the cost of some casters that offer the same capacity. When we get to our casters with two inch wide wheels, polyolefin wheels are somewhere in the middle with capacity to the other 2" wide wheels. Our two inch wide polyolefin caster is really where you see the most savings as you get the most capacity per dollar.
